SCULPTEUR SUR BOIS ET SUR PIERRE

Claude Gest has been an artist in wood and stone since the 1970 s and has acquired an unparalleled experience over time. He participates in the restoration of statues, bas-reliefs, sculptures, etc. but still has a great preference for the creation of statues, the figurine of a few centimeters high to pieces of nature. Some of his works are visible in the surrounding churches: Sainte-Anne in Saint-Benoist-sur-Vanne, Sainte-Reine in Bérulle, Saint-Avit in Aix-en-Othe or the Glove de Rigny-le-Ferron… He has both ancient and religious themes and more contemporary subjects.
