Inaugurated in 1851, restored in 1987, with its superb architecture, it fits perfectly into the center of the square which now bears its name, near the port and the big mills. At the beginning, it was a theater, and it was thus established on the square of Comedy. Later, the merchants installed their products on the pavement, along the Grande-Rue Saint-Laurent, which was a great deal of congestion. Under increasing public pressure, the city council decided to build a building: the hall, with its bricks and its floor, which sometimes makes the exhibition room. Since then, traditions have remained since every Wednesday and Saturday morning, the hall is the meeting place of Nogentais on the market that stands on the square. And this time, parking is easy!
