Taken by the castle, we would like to forget the remarkable wooden architecture covered with tiles, the impressive Brienne-le-Château halle-le-Château, which is 34 m long for 13 m height covering a surface of 884 m 2. Overwhelming, it was already owned by the commune under the First Empire when around 1810 its poor state of conservation called for restoration of the roof that had to be renewed in 1870, so the frame was opened. In 1814, the city of Brienne, firing by Blücher to delay the French advance, lived its miraculously spared halthe of the disaster. This impressive building has been classified as a historic monument since the decree of September 30, 1930. It houses the Brienne's attic vacuum and the famous Saucroute Fair.
