Originally, the tree jug was a secular elm. It was even a benchmark on maps of the country. Struck by lightning, he was replaced by a chestnut in 1868. Today, in clear weather, you can see Laon to the west and even Reims looking to the south. Situated at 134 metres above sea level, the panorama is worth the trip, especially on the beautiful village of Sévigny-Waleppe.
