This old watermill is one of the few mills to still have its paddlewheel with all its mechanism.

Owned and run by the association de sauvegarde des moulins du Loir et Cher, the Rochechouard mill, which dates back to 1393, is a veritable institution in the local heritage. It is one of the few mills still to have its paddle wheel and all its machinery to grind cereals the old-fashioned way. Demonstrations of the mill's activity and temporary exhibitions are organized during the summer months. The mill houses the Suèvres and Cour-sur-Loire tourist office.

Opening time and information on ROCK MILL

Open from 1 May to 30 June and from 1 September to 16 September every weekend and public holiday from 3 pm to 7 pm. From 1st July to 31st August, every day from 3pm to 7pm. The rest of the year: by appointment 15 days in advance for 15 people minimum. Free up to 14 years old. Free guided tour of the mill : 2 € (8 persons mini). Guided tour of the village (two hours) : 3 €.
