After admiring a unique view of the Cher river, set off to discover a remarkable site at the heart of one of Touraine's largest tuffeau cellars. Then enter the fantastic world of the Cave aux Lumières, where the walls are adorned with a myriad of breathtaking works of art, offering a never-before-seen vision of the great châteaux of the Loire and their architecture. New artists are invited into the cellars every year. At the end of your visit, the fine bubbly wines for which the Monmousseau cellars are renowned will no longer hold any secrets for you.

Opening time and information on CAVES MONMOUSSEAU

Low season: open daily from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5:30pm. High season: open daily from 10am to 12:30pm and from 1:30pm to 6pm. July and August: open daily from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Last tour departure 1h30 before closing time. Store access and free tasting (accessible to people with reduced mobility). Visit: €6 (free for children under 14). Group tours (+10 pers): €5. Guided tour for groups (min 10 pers): €8 (free for children under 14). By reservation only. Guide dogs are allowed inside the cellars.

Visite féérique : caves creusées dans la pierre de tuffaut, magnifiquement mises en lumière par la projection sur l'ensemble des parois, d’œuvres revisitées issues des châteaux de la Loire.

Vous apprendrez les secrets d'élaboration du fameux Crémant de Loire, élaboré traditionnellement puis vieilli dans ces caves, pour acquérir ses qualités de finesse de goût et de bulles.

Après la visite guidée, la dégustation est très agréable et conclu harmonieusement cette plongée dans l'Histoire agricole de cette partie du Val de Loire.
