Private property to be admired from the road, revealing an ancient site dating back to medieval times and rebuilt in stone and brick
Château de Veillenne in Bauzy is privately owned and cannot be visited. However, its impressive architecture can be admired from the road, revealing an ancient site dating back to medieval times. After its destruction in the 19th century, the castle was rebuilt in stone and brick. Originally, it was a small manor house surrounded by a moat, owned by families such as the Voysines in the 15th century and the Dupont de Veillenne in the 18th century. In 1865, the château was transformed with towers and parkland.
