PERMANENT EXHIBITION MAX JACOB
An exhibition exploring Max Jacob's multi-faceted career as a painter and poet.
The tourist office houses a permanent exhibition room on the first floor of the building devoted to the life and work of the poet (free entrance). In particular, we can see the reproductions of photographs of those who were his pets in Saint-Benoît and discover the career of painter and poet of this artist with many facets. The places where Max Jacob lived are private residences, but the hotel de la Madeleine, where he took his meals, still exists and has even been completely renovated. Literary visits are organized during the summer by the Friends of Max Jacob, chaired by Patricia Sustrac.
