CERCIL, a museum-memorial retracing the history of internment camps in the Loiret during the Second World War.
Located in the heart of Orléans, the CERCIL is a museum dedicated to the history of the internment camps located in the Loiret region and managed by France between 1941 and 1945: Pithiviers and Beaune-la-Rolande for Jewish men, women and children, and Jargeau for those classified as nomads. Drawing on archives deposited by families of internees and deportees, the exhibition sheds light on the organization and role of these camps in the politics of collaboration and genocide in Europe. In a spirit of reflection and transmission, the museum also offers temporary exhibitions, guided tours for all publics and a rich cultural program.

Un accueil à la hauteur de ce que l'ont peu voir dans le musée. De bons conseils. Prix correct. Richesse et une mémoire dans les lieux pour ne pas oublier. Bonne visite à vous

Le musée est un peu excentré du coeur de la ville. Parking le plus proche : cathédrale. Tram : arrivée près campo Santo . Finir à pieds . La MFR d Orleans s est rendue récemment au musée avec des élèves de première et ceux ci ont appris beaucoup sur cette triste période, voir attristes ou choqués . Toute cette année, leurs sorties sont basées sur la rencontre de personnes ayant vécu cette guerre et sur les lieux du Loiret où ont été deportés ces enfants. CONSERVER LA MEMOIRE .
