CONSEIL DES COMMUNES ET REGIONS D’EUROPE

AFCCRE is the French section of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), a European organisation, which brings together over 100 000 territorial communities in Europe and is chaired by Wolfgang SCHUSTER, Mayor of Stuttgart. It is also a member of the World organization of local Territorial authorities, cities and local governments (UCLG), founded at the Paris Congress in May 2004. The GÉNÉRAL General Secretariat is located in Orléans.

15 people are the permanent team of AFCCRE. The TERRITORIALES member communities pay an annual contribution, calculated on a pro rata basis of their population and according to a scale set by the Association Steering Committee.

The current President at the national level is only Alain Juppé.
