Established in 1995, the Orleans National Choreographic Centre has been under the direction of Maud Le Pladec since 2017 with the mission of creating and distributing performances. Since February 2001, it has a place, a real tool of creation enabling it to fully respond to its tasks, including «Home House», home of companies in residence, France and abroad. The additional space set up in 2010 consists of a creation studio of about 100 m 2, a recording studio for sound and video, an office-workshop for artists, space and accessories storage zones and a costume shop workshop. The CCNO welcomes artists in residence and allows them to create works and take place, it also makes it possible to raise public awareness of contemporary dance, especially through numerous organized workshops, or collective performances such as We can be Heroes during Hop Hop Hop.
