CENTRE MUNICIPAL DES SPORTS

The Municipal Sports Centre was inaugurated in 1955 and brings together in the centre of Tours an Olympic swimming pool, ice rink, multi-function room and the mythical Grenon Hall, a truly welcoming centre. It is not uncommon for the TVB games and the Ramparts of Tours to be pressed simultaneously between 4 and 5 000 people. Today, the current volleyball room is named after Robert Grenon, who was the mayor of the city of Tours and a plaque offered by the mayor in his honour is visible in the hall.
