Cistercian abbey classified as a historical monument, with a wine cellar, in Saint-Paterne, hosting various events.

Classified as a historical monument, the Cistercian abbey of La Clarté-Dieu was founded in the middle of the 13th century by the bishop of Winchester, Pierre des Roches. The abbots followed one another until the Revolution when the 5 remaining monks were expelled. The abbey was sold, and its church and the monks' building were dismantled. It was a buyout that saved it from total demolition. Rebuilt in 2002, it underwent a decade of work and then opened to the public and to many activities, from the wine cellar to music festivals and privatizations for events.

Sublime. Divin ! Tout simplement. Cette ancienne abbaye cistercienne du 14è siècle est un havre de paix et de sentiment d'appartenir à l'éternité. Avec des propriétaires géniaux, artistes, cultivés, sympa... Et un lieu génialissime pour des évènements : mariages, concerts, festivals, séminaires...

Cerise sur le gâteau : une cave avec de merveilleux vins et autres produits naturels, locaux principalement... Une cave qui, sous la canicule comme en plein hiver, est à 12° !!!

Bref : tout Français, et même tout être humain, doit avoir visité la Clarté au moins une fois dans sa vie !
