Only 15 km from Tours, this majestic 12th century castle dominates the Loire valley and the historic town of Luynes with its turbulent medieval past. Behind the powerful surrounding wall lies an elegant family home. Since its construction, it has been inhabited continuously, which explains its state of preservation today. It is the family of the Dukes of Luynes who have owned it for several generations. Tower, gardens, Gothic chapel, the castle contains many treasures, unfortunately inaccessible to the public since 2016.
