Winery

Since 2003, Elodie and Jérôme Billard have taken over the family business. They are the third generation to cultivate on this high plateau with clay-limestone soils. 24 hectares of old vines, planted mainly with Cabernet Franc, and under the controlled appellation Chinon. The grapes are harvested by hand and the estate is certified organic. Result: silky and fleshy wines. Don't miss the open house on the first weekend of December, with the added bonus of gastronomic products offered by local producers.

DOMAINE DU SAUT AU LOUP

Winery

The Domaine du Saut au Loup (formerly Domaine Dozon) now has 14 hectares of vines, grouped around the historic clos du Saut au Loup in the Chinon appellation area (AOC). Its name comes from the woods that surround the plots and where wolves lived in past centuries. Taken over in 2013 by Eric Santier, the estate began a conversion to organic farming in 2020. It produces very aromatic and fruity Chinon wines. The winemaker will be pleased to show you the different vintages.
