Château du Rivau is located near Chinon. The batisse is pretty but inhabited, not fully visitable. What distinguishes it is its gardens, well flowered from May and colorful. There are also works of art such as giant boots and explanatory panels.

Le cadre, la nourriture avec les légumes du jardin...le séjour devrait être remboursé par la sécu pour les citadins.

Château et Jardins très originals avec des oeuvres contemporaines dans les jardins et dans le Château. Très sympa en famille mais aussi en couple :-)

très beau petit château chargé d'histoire puisque Jeanne D'Arc s'y est arrêtée . Nous avons fait la chasse aux oeufs le week end de Pâques, les enfants sont pris en charge par des animatrices en costumes d' époque qui leur racontent une histoire et leur apprennent des danses anciennes et leur font deviner des énigmes pour découvrir les oeufs. Un grand parc où se promener et se poser dans des hamacs. Une véritables découvertes. Idéal pour un après midi en famille. On peut manger sur place mais penser à réserver, surtout pour la chasse aux oeufs

A beautiful garden. A walk through the tales of our childhood. Ideal for children and for adults. I advise to take the audio guide who explains in a fun way and as a game of track, the various gardens and the rooms of the castle.
For children can visit the château wearing of princess or chevalier (for rent at the reception for just €3)
Very good value... A cultural and fun discovery at the same time...
