Visit of the towers which shelter vaulted rooms on eight branches of ogive, offering a panoramic vision on the Loire.

This is a typical feudal castle, probably dating back to the 11th century. According to legend, only the towers resisted the destruction ordered by Cardinal de Richelieu following the execution of the conspirator and favourite of Louis XIII, the Marquis of Cinq-Mars. They still house rooms vaulted on eight ogive branches, and offer a panoramic view of the Loire. The castle is furnished, and even well furnished, which makes the guest rooms very pleasant to stop off on the road to the castles... or rather to stop off in a castle!

Une ouverture à 11h nous a fait faire demi- tour, c'est une heure un peu tardive qui je pense vous fait perdre des visites

Les restes d'un château féodal avec ses deux tours et ses douves impressionnantes. Je conseille aux amateurs de vieilles pierres .

Nous venons de faire cette visite en nous basant sur la note de 4,5 sympa. Sincèrement, a mon avis et en restant très respectueux du site et des propriétaires, cela ne les vaut pas.. en plus 7€, un peu cher, par exemple la forteresse de Tarascon, parfait état, 33 salles, 8 euros.. et pour la sécurité, si les services spécialisés attendent qu'un enfant (ou adulte) tombe dans les douves et se tue, pas mal ..
