Valmer Castle, famous for its Renaissance and Italian-inspired gardens and its conservatory vegetable garden, was awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label in 2004. Balustrades, statues and water fountains accompany the flowers, fruits and old vegetables. You will also discover an exceptional troglodytic chapel. The vineyard of appellation Vouvray extends over 29 hectares. After visiting the gardens, a tasting is offered in the shop where you can discover vintages having reached their specific maturity.

DOMAINE VIGNEAU-CHEVREAU

This 28 hectare estate has existed since 1875 and is currently run by the fifth generation! Since 1995, the estate has converted to biodynamic cultivation and the wines are certified organic. You will find in this cellar all the varieties of Vouvray (still dry, semi-dry, mellow and sparkling extra rough, rough and semi-dry). You will visit the beautiful troglodytic cellars where the wine is aged, but remember to wear a sweater, the temperature does not exceed 12°C! You will be welcomed in a newly renovated space.

CAVES CATHELINEAU

In these troglodyte cellars in Vouvray, visit this atypical museum. Since 1690, generations of Cathelineau have succeeded one another here. You will observe the working techniques, the history of viticulture, and you will appreciate the small tasting. Jean-Charles and his fils Frédéric will share their passion with you, in a warm atmosphere. You will walk through the incredible galleries that have brought to light a collection of fossils. The youngest are not forgotten in this visit. A great place to learn all about winegrowing!
