The Bouchet Castle is built on the highest "button" of Brenne: the highest eminence of sandstone. Built in red sandstone, it dominates its environment. Its oldest buildings, the logis and two towers, dates back to the xiiith century. There are also two dungeons: the largest of the xivth century and the xve small. Two wings of the castle were rebuilt in the seventeenth century in the classic style. Recently sold, the castle opened its doors in 2018. Rooms that have previously been closed to the public are visible. From the terrace, we have a magnificent view of the beautiful pond of the Red Sea. After the castle visit, take the air on the Red Sea. A beautiful walk runs along the pond. It is very busy on Sundays.

Visite guidée très intéressante dans les endroits actuellement visibles. Les explications sur les projets de rénovation en cours font espérer que le succès sera au rendez-vous. Proche de la Maison du Parc, ce site mérite le détour.

génial la guide est passionnée et nous fait revivre toutes les époques du château comme si elle faisait partie de la famille elle nous donne envie de revenir en nous expliquant tous les projets qui sont en cours pour ce château qui vient de rouvrir à noter vue exceptionnelle sur les étangs de la Brenne lors de la visite +++
