Read moreYou cannot go to Gargilesse without discovering its church Notre-Dame, built in the xiith century stone stone. The crypt carries magnificent frescoes between xiie and the sixteenth century. Well lit, paintings fascinate their beauty. We admire an Adoration of the Mages, a Final Judgment, the Escape in Egypt, Saint Nicolas… In the choir, William de Naillac's famous gailer has been damaged by women's ill-treatment of children. The historical capitals of the 24 old people of the Apocalypse are very well preserved, although the church is very humid (the north wall is quite degraded). Several concerts are given each year in the church.
