LAPIDARY MUSEUM
A small museum close to Notre-Dame Abbey, featuring sculptures mainly from Déols Abbey.
This small museum, inaugurated in 2016, is located right next to Notre-Dame Abbey. Its two rooms feature sculptures mainly from Déols Abbey. You can admire beautiful capitals adorned with foliage or figures.
Part of the collection was bequeathed by Robert Pêcherat, a great defender of local heritage. A computer-generated film, available on a tablet provided for the visit, recreates the abbey in its heyday. A visit to the museum complements a visit to the remains of the nearby abbey.
