The state forest of Châteauroux extends largely to the commune of Poinçonnet and Arthon. It is one of the largest in the department: it measures more than 5 000 hectares. Composed mainly of oak trees, there are also other deciduous trees such as blueberries, sorbers, maple trees, maple trees, or trees. In the spring, muguet and Scots anemia form white carpets, not forgetting the aspens that make their floral hamps high. In the fall, this is a favorite place for fungi researchers. There are also nature trips to listen to the deer's brag. Ponds allow to observe the turtle turtle. Several marked hikes are proposed from the Picard junction, for example, or the Poinçonnet town hall.
