This mineralogy museum is located in the village of Chaillac. It occupies the buildings of an old farmhouse, but the architect opted for modernity by creating a glass and metal building. The museum tells the story of the Chaillac mine, which mined barite and fluorite. Numerous minerals are also on temporary display. For collectors and the simply curious, a mineral bourse is held on the second weekend in July.
