For over 30 years, Argenton-sur-Creuse has hosted Mercuria, an international folklore festival. All kinds of music mingle here, from Cuban salsa to American country, via the vielle berrichonne and Russian, Filipino and Colombian dances. Guest groups put on street shows where everyone can enjoy the colorful costumes and rhythmic dances. Every year, five or six groups are invited, to the delight of some 3,000 spectators.
