Museum located in Loigny-la-Bataille, evoking the battle of 1870 through displays of weapons, uniforms and objects.
Votive church, Roman crypt, ossuary and museum of the Battle of 1870. In the church, rebuilt between 1872 and 1877, a touching painting depicts General de Sonis wounded on the battlefield. Inside, the chapel of the Sacred Heart surmounts the crypt where the bones that lay on the plain have been reunited with the tombs of the French generals de Sonis and de Charrette. Only this museum evokes the battle of 1870 through displays of weapons, uniforms and artifacts. You can visit it virtually if you have a pocket PC, thanks to the Visiovisit system.
