A historic site, where the current golf course is located, was an oil production site in the 1930's before a Japanese submarine destroyed the refinery in 1942 and production was completely shut down in 1965. Bought by Ken Hunter in 1972, this is where golf began to take root. In 2003, a new owner, Mr. Ty Warner, took over the reins of the golf course. The result today is a perfectly maintained course on the edge of the ocean and the mountains for an interesting and stimulating challenge for all!
