Inaugurated in May 2013, Citi Bike is an economical alternative to bicycle rental. With almost 1,500 stations and 25,000 bikes (including some 4,000 electric bikes) dotted around the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx and Brooklyn, you won't struggle to find Citi Bike during your stay. The fact that they can be dropped off at any Citi Bike kiosk in the city makes them particularly convenient. New Yorkers may have been slow to adopt them, but many of them are now getting around by Citi Bike!

Citi Bikes are an economical alternative to bike rentals. The fact that you can drop them off at any Citi Bike kiosk makes them especially convenient. Note that there are more and more electric bikes at the kiosks (26 cents per minute surcharge).
