Funicular railway. The ATB also manages the two funiculars that connect the lower town to the upper town. The first runs from Viale Vittorio Emanuele II, the second joins the San Vigilio hill to the south of the city. Installed in 1887, it is the first one that you can take alternatively by bus to reach the historic heart of the city.

Restored between 2005 and 2010, it is Italy's second-largest railway station, with an annual passenger flow of around 120 million.
