The convent of San Agustin was founded in 1373 in a building outside the city donated by Diego López de Haro. The current building dates from 1741 (extensively restored in 1989). The main façade is decorated with the shield of the Order of Saint Augustine and reliefs relating to it. Before being converted into a hotel, the convent was a prison, school and hospital. Today, it is a beautiful establishment, whose three-story square cloister is the highlight. The restaurant El Claustro, as its name suggests, is located in the cloister.

What's more, they have the merit of being comfortable. A pleasant rear base and very well situated for visiting the bodegas of Fuenmayor and the surrounding area.
