For over 45 years now, La Croisette has played host to the Royal Regatta Festival. The event welcomes over 150 of the world's finest yachts. For a week, the largest and most famous yachts of the last century, often over a hundred years old, compete in fierce jousts in a convivial atmosphere. The regatta is held off the coast of the Lérins Islands. Don't miss the royal regatta village with its many exhibitors.

Each year, the High Alps celebrate hiking through the Departmental committee on hiking and in partnership with a different association. And that's the case, because here's two raquette trails in Guillestrois. The first starts at the Col de Var and evolves on a trail often traced. After two short hours of walking, you will reach the hut of the Écuelle at 2227 meters. From this point, a trail allows you to go down to the Napoleon hut, where the second circuit begins. It will take you in two kilometers to the Catch cabin, at 2170 meters altitude. It is regularly traced and is oriented south. If you have a little time, why don't you get to the two courses?

The resort of Les Orres, located between 1550 and 2720 meters of altitude, has a vast Nordic area with five marked trails for snowshoes and an itinerary for ski touring, marked and secured. With free access, the resort will allow you to take advantage of the panoramic views of the Serre-Ponçon valley and its bleached larch trees at a lower cost (just count on renting equipment if you don't have it). In short, a perfect setting to keep on exercising, even in winter!

From Merlette, this ATV circuit is ideal for a friendly walk. At about 1 450 metres above sea level, you are on a secure secondary road along the Drac. The Nice Martial Arts Festival, organized by Essor Riviera Karate, is the oldest event of its kind in the region, it is also the most recognized by athletes and martial arts federations. The Comité Départemental de Spéléologie du Var, based in Toulon, invites caving and canyoning enthusiasts to discover the region's caves, chasms and canyons. Speleologists from the Var are on hand to accompany visitors on their explorations.

This gymnastics competition has been held in Marseille for 35 years. This year again, this great event will take place at the Palais des Sports, near the Velodrome stadium. The IRONMAN 70.3 du pays d'Aix is the only French competition over the Ironman distance to qualify for the world championships. It attracts 2,500 competitors, including many foreign triathletes (some 50 nationalities). The Aix competition, created in 2011, starts with a 1.9 km swim at Lac du Plantain in Peyrolles, followed by a 90 km bike ride through the Aix countryside and a 21.1 km half-marathon, finishing in the city's narrow streets and Parc de la Torse. The course is divided into three 7 km loops, with a finish on Cours Mirabeau. The event also includes the Irongirl, a running event for women aged 15 and over, and the Ironkids for children.

A newcomer to the running scene (^1st held in Aix in 2018), the Bacchantes race raises funds to fight male cancers, particularly prostate cancer. A portion is donated to the French Urology Association. Runners, whether male or female, are required to wear a moustache (natural, glued or drawn) and set off on an 8 km run through the historic center and up to the Parc de la Torse. You can also make it a corporate challenge, by mobilizing a team of employees. A special HPP (Hôpital privé de Provence) prize for the biggest fund-raiser, and a time challenge for the fastest time.
