LE MARIGNY
Read moreDon't miss it with its beautiful bright red facade. Intimate atmosphere of a small district bar just steps from Crillon Square and just opposite the oldest hotel in Avignon, the hotel of Europe. The Marigny is a kind of small popular oasis in the chic neighborhood. There is a good feeling: the atmosphere is rather family-friendly, prices are very affordable, and the whole press (regional, sporting and national) as well as a tobacco flow. The owners of the sites welcome the long-awaited people with great smiles and small friendly ribbons in the back. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially recommended in summer to enjoy the terrace while not suffering from the cagnard!
AUX PIEDS TANQUÉS
Read moreHardly a year goes by without the Belle-de-Mai district, around La Friche, seeing the arrival of an exciting new address! To be perfectly accurate, we're not actually in La Belle-de-Mai, but a stone's throw away, and at Les Pieds tanqués, a stone's throw counts. Here, in a place that's all about conviviality and meeting new people, lots of young people come for a drink, a bite to eat and a game of cochonnet. Because yes, Pétanque does indeed come from "tanned feet", and its name did indeed derive from this expression when it was created in La Ciotat. We love the healthy spirit of this new place for sharing, the idea that Provencal heritage can be combined with our modern lifestyles.
CHEZ LA P'TITE
Read moreInside Les Halles, it's an epicurean counter where the shopkeepers of the halles, the regulars, mix, there's really a beautiful energy every time. The mistress of the place is very welcoming with her smile and her kindness. We go there to have an aperitif with our friends. We share one, two and three bottles and we finish a little further away as soon as the end titillates us around a seafood platter. "The place to be" is the place to be for the Avignonnais on Sunday morning! You can read the local press there and remake the world.
