If you'd like to discover the Welsh capital from a different angle, the boat option is a great alternative. This boat-bus runs between the city center and Cardiff Bay, every day, all year round. It departs from Bute Park, near Cardiff Castle, and arrives at Mermaid Quay, in the heart of the bay. More than a simple trip, you can take the 45-minute mini-cruise option to discover the wonders of Cardiff Bay and the Wetlands Reserve. Practical: PRM access, dogs allowed, bicycles authorized.

The airport is located some 20 km south of Cardiff. There are direct flights to Paris, Marseille and Bordeaux. To reach the center of Cardiff, you can take the train from Rhoose station, which is close to the airport. Bus 905 takes you to the station, where you can catch a train to all major cities in Wales. Bus 304 also passes through the station and continues on to Cardiff city center.
