While it's now possible to find manga in most bookshops and major distribution groups, this was hardly the case in the 1990s. The Junku bookshop, located on Rue des Pyramides since 1992, was one of the first to offer manga for sale. Last but not least, this bookshop is an inexhaustible source of information on the British royal family! If you're looking for a Kate&William mug, or a pencil case with Queen Elizabeth II on it? No problem! Other cool, kitschy accessories will complete your panoply of UK-loving froggies. A pretty stationery section, with party cards full of English chic, decorated notepads, moleskin, fancy notebooks, little toys and plush toys will keep you happy. Upstairs, you'll also find a grocery section stocked with British specialties: marmalade, sauces, cookies... Finally, there's a pleasant café area where you can enjoy lunch, brunch or the famous tea time!

Paris's must-visit English bookshop delights all English speakers in the capital, but not only! Many Parisians and tourists come to enjoy a coffee on the bookshop's terrace, just a stone's throw from Notre-Dame. In addition to its extremely rich English-language stock and its adorable café, the bookshop offers an annual festival where you can meet English-speaking authors, as well as a system of accommodation: tumbleweeding! The concept? In exchange for a few hours' work in the bookshop, you'll be lodged upstairs!

The capital's one and only Franco-German bookshop, Le Neuvième Pays opened its doors at the beginning of November 2023 in the ^6th arrondissement. Sophie Semin welcomes you with an attractive catalog of 6,000 items, a third of which are dedicated to Goethe's language. Classics and world literature, in French and German, and bilingual editions are on offer, much to the delight of German-speaking readers who have been left on their own since the closure of specialized bookshops in recent years. Highly recommended.

Although smaller than its parent store on rue de Rivoli, the Smith & Son Marais bookshop is still the ideal place to pick up the latest VO release, or a great classic of Anglo-Saxon literature. There's something here for every taste and theme, including magazines, and even a few stationery accessories for gift ideas. English-speaking readers will find what they're looking for in this intimate, well-stocked boutique. We also appreciate the good advice offered by the on-site booksellers.
