L'IMAGINARIUM

Comic book store
5/5
1 review

It's only been open since December 2018, and frankly, it's a little coup de coeur. L'Imaginarium is a beautiful bookshop specializing in children's items, and run by the dynamic Damien Maillard. From books for younger readers to mangas and comics (which suggests that some adults will also find something to satisfy their passion!), the choice is vast, and the shelves are very well stocked! Children will also love the little reading corner. All in all, a great place!

LE RENARD DORÉ

Le Renard Doré, named after a famous Japanese fantasy figure, is an invitation to travel to the heart of the archipelago's manga and literature. Founded by Mickaël Brun-Arnaud, the bookstore opened its doors in May 2018, a few steps from the Jardin des Plantes and its venerable Japanese cherry blossom tree... It offers on two levels a kawaii stationery, a nice selection of books as well as DVDs, plush toys, accessories, figurines, posters... A dreamlike Ghibli-like universe in a charming floral tapestry decor. Escape games, workshops, conferences and signing sessions are regularly organized there! A jewel we tell you!

PHILIPPE LE LIBRAIRE

Comic book store

The bookshop is aptly named: here, Philippe sets the tone. And if the place seems like a strange mess, it is terribly charming and, in the end, has countless nuggets. From the selection to the decoration (mainly composed of posters and posters of all kinds, and this is a must-see), the bookseller wants to present to the public what he is passionate about, namely good comics. Rather heir to the Hara Kiri spirit, one can however come across treasures in youth or incredible graphic novels.

Comic book store

A manga Bookstore in the Japanese neighborhood! Rather logical, we will say, except that this kind of shop had not had its place in this Japanese enclave and very serious. Here is evidence that the manga takes maturity and quality. At Komikku, you'll find a rich selection of Mangas but also, more rare, a beautiful range of products derived from Ghibli studios. Dynamic and pro, the team organizes meetings and dedications, and vibrates to the world of the manga, Komikku, since 2012, has been diversifying and launching a publishing house, Komikku Editions, now led by Sam Souigbi, entrusting Sonia, his sister, the bookshop! Komikku Editions'first manga is called the Hellish Island of Yusuke Ochiai, the story of a man unjustly condemned to stay on a penitentiary island and screaming revenge!

What a bargain! Here un manga kissa in a neighbourhood deserted by the mangaphiles forced and forced to go to the east to offer to their sacro- holy weekly hours of reading. Chez Manga Space, do not change the formula that goes: cosy consultation of manga for a good of payment (€4 per hour) and tasting at will from hot and cold drinks. The welcome is very friendly and sharp. Just enough to do not fear at the perfect beginners. The good idea, you can organise birthdays for toddlers here (€13 per inhabitant of pipe!).
