The F.F.A.C., Fédération française des associations chiens d'aveugles, founded in 1972 and recognised of public utility as of 1981, gathers around France a dozen schools of blind guides, the National Association of Masters of Blind Guides (ANMCGA) and the national centre of livestock (CESECAH). In 2011, actor Richard Boringher supported this very respectable association.

Word of Dog is an association of animal mediation, that is, using spontaneous contact of the dog to recreate a link with isolated persons, in this case with seniors and persons with disabilities. It invites everyone who owns a well-educated, up-to-date and clean dog to visit hospitals, nursing homes and specialized establishments. After a 45-min test, it is determined whether the dog is balanced, social and voluntary. The volunteer and his dog are then assigned a visiting place near their home.
