The Île-de-France Region's Green Spaces Agency has decided to reopen all the public forests under its management after obtaining the agreement of the prefectural authorities. This measure aims to provide breathing space for Île-de-France residents at a time when France has entered a period of deconfinement. This represents 15,000 hectares of green spaces where the public will be able to go for walks or practice individual sports activities. These 39 public forests include the forests of Bondy in Seine-Saint-Denis, Ferrières in Seine-et-Marne and Rosny in Yvelines. The region has stated that everything has been planned to ensure the safety of walkers and sportsmen and women: display of barrier gestures and checks by the equestrian brigades.
