MARINE ATLANTIC

The Marine Atlantic ferry company provides access to the island of Newfoundland. Two ferry routes are available from North Sydney, Nova Scotia: Port aux Basques year round (sailing time: approximately 7 hours) and Argentia from mid-June to the end of September (sailing time: approximately 16 hours). Numerous services on board, including cabins (1 to 4 people), restaurants and bars, a movie theater, arcades and a game room, a playground for youngsters, an Internet café, a souvenir store, etc.
