FRANCOISE MUSSEL

Mont-Saint-Vincent has few shops, but as in many medieval villages, artists feel at home here. Ironworkers, mother-of-pearl artists (the only one in Saône-et-Loire) and painters find inspiration here, as does sculptor and ceramist Françoise Mussel. One of her works (one of her countless faces) is on display in rue du Grenier à Sel, where she has her studio. The village also hosts a number of exhibitions, including the annual Painters' Day in September, which attracts dozens of artists.
