The softness of the road, the adrenaline of the mountain trails, the fullness of the riversides, the discovery of natural parks and emblematic sites... Whatever his style, his sport, his pace every cyclist will find in Burgundy-Franche-Comté his happiness on 2 wheels. The Grande Traversée du Massif Central is making its comeback this summer. Extended by several hundred kilometres, this "new version" itinerary now links Avallon and the great lakes of Morvan in Burgundy to Cap d'Agde on the Mediterranean coast! More than 1400 km of pleasure with a route that is intended to be of moderate difficulty and fully accessible by electric bicycle. While mountain bike travel experts will find the spots that have made the GTMC famous since its creation in 1995, new sections of lesser difficulty, such as the one between Moulins and Clermont-Ferrand, should allow occasional mountain bikers to come and experience their first roaming! A change of scenery guaranteed across 10 departments, 3 regions, 5 natural parks and several emblematic sites of the largest French massif.

Another possibility: the Great Morvan Crossing! With its 335 km of marked trails through the exceptional landscapes of the Morvan massif, the "Site VTT-FFC du Parc du Morvan" is today the largest itinerary in France, linking the medieval town of Avallon in the Yonne, to the Gallo-Roman town of Autun in Saône-et-Loire. From the green hills to the deep and wild valleys, from the emblematic sites of the Regional Natural Park to the Breuil-Chenu forest, the Carnival rocks of Uchon, the emblematic peaks passing through the great lakes of Morvan... magnificent panoramas and beautiful elevations are offered to mountain bikers. 7 car washes and partner accommodation, stamped "GTM", mark this route: enough to pedal with your eyes closed and in complete safety on the roads of Burgundy-Franche-Comté!
