Blood and organ donation Brittany

Rennes is a city located in the Ille-et-Vilaine region. The Association pour le Don d'Organe et de Tissus Humains d'Ille-et-Vilaine ADOT 35, was created in 1975 and is one of the first departmental associations of the France ADOT federation. It has around 110 volunteer members and 80 supporters, who are true "Organ Donation Ambassadors". The association's mission is to inform and raise awareness of organ and bone marrow donation, recruit voluntary bone marrow donors, and support patients, transplant recipients and their families. It organizes events in schools, universities and businesses, and takes part in public events such as trade fairs and forums.

The center accepts blood and plasma donations. Donating a body to science is a civic act and free of charge, and the cost of transporting the body is covered by the establishment receiving the donation. It is also possible to specify in the declaration of donation whether you wish the body or ashes to be returned to your loved ones. We recommend that you inform your loved ones of your donation and keep your donor card with you.

EFS's activities include the donation of blood, plasma, platelets, bone marrow and placental blood. While many people donate blood at mobile blood drives, giving blood at a facility near you can become a habit that greatly facilitates the EFS. Donations are made by appointment, and you'll be taken care of quickly, not forgetting to take a snack before you go. Donors aged 18 to 70 can give 6 times a year for men and 4 times a year for women. It's an act of solidarity and citizenship that saves lives!
