Sharing the mourning of an entire nation on the anniversary of the 1915 genocide at the Yerevan Heights Memorial-Museum.
National Day of Mourning, in memory of the victims of the genocide, which began on 24 April 1915 by the Ottomans. The whole country stands still: behind the political and religious leaders, tens of thousands of Armenians, including those from the diaspora, converge on the Tsitsernakaberd memorial on the heights of Yerevan to pay homage to the victims of the "Medz Yeghern". On the sidelines of the ceremonies, since 2016, a special jury has awarded Yerevan the Aurora Prize in May, rewarding a personality for his or her fight against all forms of genocide.
