There is so much to live for in Vietnam. Fifteen days, the time of a north-south crossing, will allow you to see the most famous sites of the country: go for a tour in Vietnam!

Hanoi, the most beautiful of the Asian capitals, has preserved an exceptional architectural heritage. There is nothing more pleasant than walking under huge vegetable arcades, marking the stopover in the countless pagodas. The many elegant colonial buildings are another pretext for strolling and walking. Hanoi is also an aquatic city, dotted with lakes that give each district a particular identity

From Hanoi, it is easy to reach the Ha Long Bay site by road (160 km). And there, when the junk starts to engage in the maze of rocks sculpted by the wind and the sea, nothing exists but the magic of a legendary site

Still from Hanoi, it is possible to continue exploring the north of the country and, in particular, its mountainous borders. This is an opportunity to discover the way of life of ethnic minorities. 370 km from Hanoi, the Sapa climate station, perched at 1,650 m, is an ideal base camp for a multi-day trek in the surrounding mountains. On these steep hills, the hiker can, at the cost of hard climbs, meet the Hmong and Zaos, whose terraced rice fields shape the landscape. Treks in these remote areas, such as Ha Giang, are memorable moments.

From Hanoi, you can also reach Hue, the former capital of the Nguyen dynasty, in the centre of the country. It is advisable to get up early in the morning to visit the imperial city, to avoid the heat of the sun. It is also a mecca for Vietnamese gastronomy with particularly appreciated and refined specialities.

While the bewitchment from the males of the august dynasty has barely dissipated, the traveller has already resumed his journey to the south and the city of Da Nang. By train or by road, it passes the Col des Nuages, which makes a narrow path between the sky and the sea. In Da Nang, there is no question of missing a visit to the museum dedicated to Cham art. 30 km to the south is a small paradise where you can easily stay for three days: Hoi An. The ancient city, very charming, is located a stone's throw from the seaside and near the archaeological site of My Son. Between Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City, other beautiful beaches await lovers of idleness, such as the seaside resort of Nha Trang along a huge beach planted with coconut trees. Finally, after a visit to the floating markets of the Mekong Strait, you can push as far as Saigon.Renamed Ho Chi Minh City after falling into the hands of North Vietnamese troops, Saigon has kept its southern specificity. It is a bustling metropolis where life never seems to stop, even at night.
