High mountain race on the west coast of the island, attracting the best specialists in the discipline.

This 50 km long, 2,760 m-high mountain trail on the island's west coast, starting in Trois-Bassins, attracts specialist runners every year. The Grand Bénare is one of Réunion's three highest peaks. The Grand Bénare-La Trois Bassinoise is a sporting event on the calendar of the French Athletics Federation. It also includes a 26 km race, with a 1,200 m elevation gain.
