Read moreRelocated in 2018 to the up-and-coming Lower Junction Triangle neighborhood on the city's west side, MOCA Toronto can finally flourish from its near-underground status before it closed in 2015. In a nod to the neighborhood's industrial past, the contemporary art museum has moved into the former Tower Automotive Building. It occupies five floors dedicated to exhibitions, installations and performances by local and international artists.

Read moreThe MACBSP is well known for its national and international exhibitions throughout the year. Paintings, sculptures, prints, photographs, design and multimedia occupy the exhibition spaces, as well as works from the International Symposium (annual event) and donations. In the summer, free guided tours are offered and last about 45 minutes. The museum store is also worth a visit.
