JOUR DE LA LIGUE ARABE

Founded on 22 March 1945 in Cairo by seven founding members (Transjordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Yemen), the League of Arab States has expanded considerably over the past 70 years. On this occasion, the member countries meet at a summit to strengthen their ties. The Arab League aims to coordinate the political position of the countries at the international level and to develop economic, social and cultural programmes.
