Stemming from Spanish religious culture, this celebration corresponds to Epiphany (feast of the kings), which also marks the end of the Christmas festivities. With family, friends or neighbors, the Ticos gather to pray a common prayer based on the rosary and Christmas carols. Processions, serenades and rosaries are scheduled throughout the day. Usually, after the prayer, there's coffee with tamales, rompope, aguadulce and all sorts of typical pastries and drinks to share.
