The town of Lago Agrio - Nueva Loja has a branch of Banco de Pichincha, a bank and insurance company. The branch offers a range of services to customers, including cash deposits and withdrawals, cheque exchange, payment for services, account opening, investments and credit applications. It also has ATMs, kiosks and telephone banking services. For low-value transactions, customers can go to a non-banking correspondent called "Mi Vecino".

Prefer foreign exchange houses on the street underground. In any case, rates are unfavourable compared with those in Quito.
