DÍA DE LA RAZA - RODEO MONTUBIO

October 12, the day of interculturality and plurinationality, is the day of commemoration of the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus, in 1492, and at the same time, the celebration of the Spanish heritage, an indirect consequence of this discovery. This festival is especially important in the provinces of Guayas and Los Ríos, where the rodeo is a true demonstration of horsemanship. Many skilled and courageous riders compete with the bulls and the "Criolla bonita" is elected among the women representing various haciendas.
