Al Frate is a bit like the historical brewery of Brescia, characteristic in its decoration and in its cuisine which excels in regional specialities. Brick walls, clean lines and softly lit retro lamps create a warm ambience, for abundant, tasty cuisine. Well-stocked wood-fired pizzas, tender beef tartars and nicely grilled cockerels are just some of the must-try dishes served here, accompanied by a cold lager...

A café-bistro, located on the heights at 2,178 metres above sea level, on the road between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Alta Badia. You can stop there by car for a coffee, to eat (it is traditional, cheap and copious), but above all to admire the landscape below. You never get tired of it, and with sunshine you can even stay for hours! There are many hiking routes nearby, including to Laguzuoi. This refuge can also be a stop for lunch between two hikes.

The plus: the selection of vegetarian or vegan dishes and gluten-free pizzas for those who prefer. In short, a place that's got it all and where you're sure to bring out satisfied taste buds.

A little set back from the lakeside and its tourist traps, it is said that Le Boeuc has been serving drinks to the local bon vivants since the 17th century. This restaurant exists since 1972. This Botte is located just in front of the famous Bam Bar where you can have an aperitif before a table becomes available. You can also approach the problem the other way around: go and have dessert at the Bam Bar after the pizza at the Botte. In any case, this is one of the very touristy addresses. Yes, it's crowded, but it's good and the service is friendly. The terrace under its arbour and its trees is full of charm. However, the cuisine has been very disappointing for a few years.

The fine sand of Monterosso beach reaches the foot of the large bay windows of this modern brasserie . A large terrace allows you to enjoy the sea view, but the bar inside is just as pleasant for a coffee or a Spritz at the counter. The pizza here is one of the best in Cinque Terre, while pasta and a number of meat dishes complete the menu, not forgetting fish specialties such as fried squid and stuffed anchovies. Away from the tourist hustle and bustle, this is truly a worthwhile address.
