LA GROTTA DI LEO
Read moreValue for money is undeniably one of the strong points of this address. The house philosophy is simple: tasty traditional Florentine dishes, with generous portions. For those who prefer pizzas, no disappointment: they're certainly among the best in the area. A simple, traditional atmosphere in a warm and friendly place, where the owner's warmth and friendliness reign supreme. A cuisine of character and authenticity, based on the freshness and quality of its raw materials. The terrace is best appreciated in fine weather.
LA RIPIENA
Read moreThe right address in this neighborhood to discover and savor the white pizza, also known as focaccia, which is thicker, cut in half and topped at the last minute... a real delight. The dough is well-made, soft and light, and the toppings are inspired by Roman and Italian tradition. Everything is prepared just in time, with quality above all else. The raw ingredients are fresh and carefully selected. With a few tables inside and out, the place is warm and inviting, and also lends itself to excellent aperitifs based on charcuterie and pizza. Worth a visit.
STARITA
Read moreFor a taste of Neapolitan savoir-faire in the Lombard capital, head for Starita with its succulent pizzas - starting with the margherita. The fritti, or appetizers, are also delicious: try the zucchini flowers, for example, or the fried mini-pizza with ragù sauce. Finally, there are a few desserts to end the meal on a sweet note: from traditional tiramisù to angioletti fritti, small pieces of fried pizza dough covered in chocolate! For a good, inexpensive pizza, Starita is a safe bet.
RUBIU
Read moreThis freshly opened brasserie-restaurant, with its modern, industrial decor and view of the gleaming vats, won us over. It serves excellent pizzas, accompanied of course by the house beers brewed on site. The foams are almost organic, unfiltered and additive-free. But the cochonnailles served on a plank (as well as the cheeses) are truly succulent. Rubiu ("red" in Sardinian) is the story of three friends who are natives of the island, and they'll tell you the rest because they're so adorable.
PIZZERIA GIOVANNI SANTARPIA
Read moreOriginally from the Naples area, Giovanni Santarpia has opened his pizza temple in Florence, a 15-minute walk from Porta Romana. A place that is worth the detour! A perfect combination of Neapolitan tradition and top quality ingredients. An arancino di mare (squid ink rice stuffed with shrimp and citrus) to start. Then the pizzas enter the scene. Margherita, Marinara, Caponatina... know how to choose. You should also know that this pizzeria is among the best in Italy!
SOFFICE PIZZA E SFIZI
Read moreOne of Turin's finest pizzerias, located just a few meters behind the Gran Madre di Dio church. Neapolitan pizzas baked in the oven have that unmistakable taste, now a Unesco World Heritage Site. What quality! Not surprising, you might say, when you know that the pizzaiolo is Roberto Grivet, master instructor and multiple award-winner for the excellence of his light, crunchy dough made with organic flour. You can also take away... Portions are copious, because pizza (especially this one) can be eaten without hunger!
'O SCUGNIZZO
Read moreWalking along Via de' Redi, a characteristic little street that crosses Corso Italia, you discover a place where Neapolitan pizza is king! But it's not just any pizzeria... o Scugnizzo' has, over time, become a true icon of the city. Its chef Pierluigi, accompanied by his family, transmits all his passion and his sense of sharing. The pizzas, tasty, light and melting, with a well kept dough, are adorned with excellent products. And we appreciate, (tomato!) cherry on the cake, the beautiful selection of artisanal beers.
